Policies

Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. All policies are subject to change.

Reservations and Cancellations

  • COVID Cancellation Policy: A full refund is available for an official COVID-related situation, e.g. 14 day quarantine to enter NY from your state or country. COVID concerns are constantly changing and we will consider each issue on a case by case basis.
  • Checks accepted only ($25 returned check fee)
  • Full Payment is due within 7 days of booking.
  • Refunds will not be given for late arrivals or early departures
  • Cleaning/Garbage Removal/Recycling/and applicable pet fees due with final payment.
Check-in and out

  • Contactless Check-In and Out will remain in effect for Summer 2021.
  • All campers are required to be confirmed and paid in full prior to entering the property and their designated cabin.
  • Pet Deposit and Pet Fee are due at booking (see pet policy below)
  • Check-In is 3:00 PM (subject to change)
  • Check-Out by 10:00 AM (see cleaning policy below)
  • Caretakers will be available and are on property
Occupancy

  • For COVID-19 safety all campers should adhere to the NYS COVID rules.
  • It is very important to us that we have a peaceful, quiet, and safe environment at Long Pond Cabins for everyone’s enjoyment.
  • To ensure this, two-bedroom cabins will be limited to four people and the three-bedroom cabins to six people.

Visitors

  • Day visitors must be registered in advance
  • Overnight visitor fee: $25 per-night, per-person
  • Overnight visitors must be pre-approved based upon the cabin maximum capacity
  • Maximum capacity of a cabin CANNOT be exceeded
Cleaning

To ensure that everyone has a clean cabin at check-in time, we require departing campers to follow these simple cleaning steps:

    • All dishes, pots and pans washed and put away
    • Clean kitchen (stove, oven, counters, etc.)
    • Refrigerator emptied and cleaned (please do not unplug)
    • Clean bathroom
    • All floors swept
    • Remove garbage and recyclables to designated containers
    • Pickup/cleanup grounds surrounding the cabin
    • Please report any damaged or lost property immediately so we can address.
    • If everyone complies with the cleaning policy, it will ensure that a clean cabin is ready for you upon the 2:00 PM check-in time.
Beach and Swimming

  • The Beach Form must be signed by a responsible adult at check-in
  • There is no lifeguard on duty at Long Pond
  • No children under 18 without adult supervision
  • Two adults must be present at all times while children are swimming or using beach area
  • No alcohol, no glass containers on beach
  • The beach and swimming area are for registered campers only
  • No boats/canoes in swimming area
  • No pets on beach or in swimming area
  • No fishing in the swimming area
Boating

  • All boats must be cleaned, drained and dry BEFORE launching into Long Pond to help prevent the transport of invasive speciesYour cooperation is appreciated.  Find out more about invasive species and why cleaning boats is important at the NYS Department of Environmental Conversation’s website.
  • Life jackets are required for all boaters (supplied by Long Pond Cabins)
  • Rowboats, canoes, and kayaks must be returned to the boat area after you are done using them. Boats are available on a first come, first serve basis.  There may be times when a boat may not be available for every person. We ask that all boats be shared — please DO NOT leave a boat at your cabin dock all day.
  • Each person must review the Boat and Water Safety Guidelines before using a boat.
  • Low horsepower (<10HP) motors on all campers’ boats
  • Adult supervision required for children under 18 in all watercraft
Pets

  • All pets must have a valid rabies tag/shots and license
  • All pets must be pre-arranged at time of reservation
  • A pet fee of $20 and a pet deposit of $75 are required for any type of pet. If the cabin and grounds are found satisfactory, the entire pet deposit will be returned via mail within 7 business days. Damages over $75 must be paid before departure. A release form may be required.
  • Pet fee and pet deposit applies to day visitors and overnight visitors.
  • PETS CANNOT BE LEFT ALONE
  • ONLY ONE PET ALLOWED PER CABIN
  • Pets must be leashed at all times and controlled at all times
  • Owners must clean up and dispose of all pet waste
  • Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture. Pet owners must bring bedding for pet to sleep on. Any pet hair on furniture or beds will result in a cleaning fee which will be subtracted from the pet deposit.
  • No pets loose in waterfront area or playground areas. Thank you.
Vehicle

  • Only one vehicle per cabin
  • Park all other vehicles in designated parking by Rec hall or firewood shed.
Garbage and Recycling

  • Garbage and recyclables must be separated and placed in clear plastic bags (bags are provided to campers – extras are available at the recreation hall).
  • Campers must place bags in designated outside containers
